Terms of Service

Last updated 3 October 2026

By creating an account you agree to these terms. UG Companion is run by Apollo Learning, a non-profit. It is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Ghana or any school.

What the service does

UG Companion connects to the Sakai learning platform with the login you provide. It reads your course information and sends you answers, reminders and alerts on WhatsApp.

Your responsibilities

• Only connect a Sakai account and a WhatsApp number that are yours.
• Keep your UG Companion password private.
• Always check important deadlines on Sakai or with your department. Reminders are a help, not a guarantee.

Availability

We work to keep the service accurate and running, but Sakai or WhatsApp outages can delay or stop messages. When we can't check Sakai, the bot says so rather than guessing.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by replying UNLINK, disconnecting Sakai, or asking us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Changes

We'll update this page if these terms change, and tell you about important changes.
