Questions
Frequently asked
Is this official from the University of Ghana?
No. UG Companion is run by Apollo Learning, an independent non-profit, and isn't affiliated with UG or any school. It connects to the open-source Sakai LMS, including UG Sakai, and reads it the same way you do when you log in.
Why do you need my Sakai PIN?
Sakai has no other way to let a service see your own assignments and submissions. The PIN is checked with Sakai, stored encrypted, and used only to read your courses.
What if I change my PIN?
The bot will notice the old one stopped working and send you a secure link to update it. You can also update it from your account.
Does it cost anything?
Creating an account and connecting Sakai is free. Pricing for WhatsApp alerts will be announced before anything is charged.
Can I stop the messages?
Yes. Reply UNLINK on WhatsApp, pause a check from your account, or switch to one summary a day.
